“That was unfortunate. It was kind of an exchange with our fans seated near me,” Jones explained during a Tuesday interview. “Present was a swarm of Dallas supporters—not Jets fans, Cowboys fans. The entire stadium was brimming with enthusiasm for the Cowboys.”
He further clarified that the signal was completely accidental, happening amid the excitement following the team’s final touchdown. “I just put up the incorrect digit,” he remarked. “It was accidentally done. This is sincere. Should you call it unplanned, you can. But it got corrected rapidly.”
